Happy Chinese New Year!!!
Jessica and Shirley are our amazing teachers and leaders that are in charge of Hope Outreach China operations. Jessica handles the paperwork, scheduling, and governmental meetings while Shirley counsels and teaches the children in our program. With them in this photo is Debbie; she is one of the young adults in our program and is doing amazing at her college this year! We will share more about her and her adventures in the next update.
If you have been able to keep up with Wally, you will see how far he has come in his short time working with us. When we first met him, he struggled with many day to day activities. Communicating, learning, and socializing with others was difficult for him. He now is in public school, loves his friends at the orphanage and engages with others with ease and joy! He has such a pure spirit that draws others to him.
In China, during the winter and summer holiday, the children are given between 2-4 workbooks that they must complete before going back to school. Davey and Patch worked hard to complete theirs early so they could have more time to play!
This photo blows our minds! Thomas has been the tallest boy at the Orphanage for a while now, but Gene (left) has not only caught up to him but now is taller! Please excuse the phone playing, the children are not allowed to have phones at school so when on holiday, they love to relax and play!!!
