This year was our 14th annual summer camp. This was the first camp we have not attended since we started hosting them for the Home of Hope orphanages. Shirley, works as a teacher for us. We met her in Gongyi when we moved to China. She was in middle school and has attended all 14 summer camps. Jessica, Shirley and Nicky (pictured in later pictures below) work for us and ran the camp this year. We are so proud of them.

The government leaders allowed our staff to host the camp at the orphanage in Pingyu, but did not want the children to leave. It ended up raining nearly the entire time which really limited the activities they had planned. They played several of the same games we taught them and introduced some new games they saw on a famous Chinese TV show.

Even Frank liked playing with the tiles.

The staff told us that the children had a good time but expressed how much they missed our family being there. Some of the kids did send thank you messages to us and told us that they appreciated our staff for running the camp. It was really such a blessing to see the pictures they sent of the children smiling.

Michelle and I want to thank you for your continued support in spread hope, joy and love to these beautiful children.
